Linux Process Control QuestionMy wife likes to run Facebook flash games in Firefox. Her computer is starting to show its age. Flash crashes regularly, sending the CPU to 100% and making the system completely unusable. This never resolves itself, leaving the only option being a hard reset. I know flash is garbage... I'm not really looking for a solution for flash. Rather, I'd like to contain the problem. I Googled a bit and found suggestions for using renice on /usr/lib/firefox/plugin-container. However, once the problem hits, I can't access it. If I could, I'd just kill the process. I also found suggestions to use...

Lots of questions for different topics. Stations, ST's, Stock xchange, board, andmoreOk, to begin with, this is my first post so forgive me if a lot of stuff has been answered before, also I am a newish player so forgive me if i ask simple things or do not fully understand. I've looked but can only find more advanced discussions of the topics which leave out a lot of the more simple things that I am missing. Also, this is for Albion Prelude. Also I am doing the bankrupt assassin play-through, so no paranid or boron help, and most of this is taking place near the aladna hill area. So first up is a problem i seem to have with Sector Traders. I realize this has been posted many...

How to View URL on Fx w/ Andoid TabletI'm using an Android tablet, v.4.x (ICS), and am trying to implement Fx as my browser. I have many questions; here's the 1st: Where or how can I find the actual URL of a page? I've figured out that I can go to Bookmark, Edit, which shows a partial view at least. Do I have to copy & paste from that edit field to see the whole thing? Please tell me there's an easier way! And Thank You!

Where are XGL Updates ??? SOLVEDOk so after wondering for a week or so why there is no XGL updates, I ventured over to the HOWTO XGL page and accidently find out that there is a new overlay system "layman", that has NOT been mentioned in the forum. So i setup the "layman" structure and do an update and low and behold it is OLD XGL, xgl-coffee rev 152 and portage-xgl rev 182. So my question is. Does anyone know of an ebuild to get the latest XGL with Quinns patches? EDIT: coffee overlay is now updated _________________ Core i7 920 D0 | Asus P6T DLX | Patriot Viper 1600 6GB | Antec Quattro 850W Geforce 8800GTX OC2 768MB | Dell...

Plugin-container add-on?Just a possibly silly question here... is there an add-on out there that allows you to kill plugin-container.exe when it plays up? To be honest, plugin-container only very rarely gives me problems (usually happens when closing a youtube tab mid-video... the audio keeps playing so I just taskmamager the life out of it). So rare that troubleshooting would likely take forever with safe mode looking for conflicting add-ons. Can't find anything on mozilla.org but was wondering if there's an unofficial add-on to do this, or if it's even possible to kill a process this way from within Firefox. Cheers

[Answered] CUDA General QuestionsI'm building a new rig with a Geforce GTX 560. I'm curious to know more about CUDA and it's application in Gentoo. Coming from a newbie perspective, my initial impression was, "Maybe I can use CUDA with GCC for faster compiles?", however, I don't know if that is ACTUALLY the case or not. Can gcc utilize CUDA for compilations? How does CUDA work if you're running something that is utilizing the GPU? What is required to make use of CUDA? Just the CUDA toolkit and nvidia drivers? What else does the common man do that can make use of CUDA? EDIT: I just took a look at ... and it LOOKS like at first...
