Hi there, Since I know how to read the time, I've been wondering why we divide the day into 24 hours of 60 minutes of 60 seconds (although americans and british may find this unusually convenient). Well, this is because our timekeeping system is several thousand years old and was inherited by the babylonians, who used a base 60 (sexagesimal) number system, although they didn't really use radix points or zeroes yet. I wanted to set up a bunch of ships to supply my new crystal factory with the resources it needs for crystal production. I did this by ordering several ships to perform infinite manual trade runs using the manual trade run command built into X3AP. The problem is that when one of the needed resources is filled to capacity, the ship supplying that resource just gives up on its manual trade run. Flash zoom behaviour in HD resolutions

Ever since i've bought a new HD laptop (with an absolute minimum resolution of 1920x1080) it's been a pain to properly view some websites. The most annoying being flash frames. Using sites like kongregate.com (and many other), with firefox and a little page zoom, the flash window rarely fills the designated space. Zooming in (with the flash menu) overfloods the frame and only by then zooming out does it finnaly fit to the proper dimensions. Hi, after fooling around with usb networking trying to get my Zaurus networked thru its sync cable, I'm getting this weird problem connecting to my pppoe adsl ISP (this is happening in Gentoo and not my Zaurus). I can connect to the ISP, but I need to run adsl-setup everytime. In fact, it's not even that simple. Here's my process: 1. my computer will not connect automatically on boot using adsl-start 2. Macbook... os x on external hard drive? [SOLVED]

EDIT: I installed OS X on external drive. Rebooted with external drive as startup disk. Rebooted using OS X install disk 1. Used Disk Utility to partition internal drive. I chose MS-DOS filesystem since free space was giving error. And I chose MBR instead of GUID (spelling?). Installed linux "old-fashioned" way i.e. one primary partition, the rest logical. Grub used as boot-loader. Now I can hold option key at restart chime to select OS X if I have external drive attached. Screen scraping with mod_access [SOLVED]

Has anyone had to screen scrape a page that was protected by Apache mod_access? I have access to the page (username/password) but can't get around it automatically through w3m or a ruby script. Although kinda ghetto I was thinking about serving the page on an alternate port as well which is closed by the firewall and then use port knocking to open the port, read the page, then close the port again. New emails all together ???

I had a bit of a catastrophy with Windows 8, and so had to reinstall my Windows 7 Put Thunderbird back on ("Early Bird" this time not "Lanikai" - a 64 bit one I had before) Only it won't lump all my new emails together, all seperate email inboxes, which is a pain. Outlook 2010 does it too, which is annoying because it's slower to set up. Windows Live Mail seems the only one that doesn't. Can anyone tell me how to get ALL my new emails together in one ? It WAS that way in Lanikai.
