The Hindenburg’s Smoking Lounge... Quote: The Hindenburg’s smoking room was thus a necessary concession to global travelers who could book a first-class cabin on the greatest ocean liner ever built (even to this day), the Normandie, at no more than half the price. Guillaume de Syon, author of a standard book on the zeppelins, points out that the room was extremely popular and travelers would otherwise have been oppressively bored, at least when no land was in sight. An open pack of premium cigarettes was thus a centerpiece of Hindenburg advertisements. Should the passengers have been worried? The hydrogen-buoyed airship had...

[R*censored*]Romney denounces intolerance, except when he isQuote: Romney Camp Brags About Denouncing Intolerance, But Not Of Gay Former Advisor In a week full of nervy moves by the Mitt Romney campaign, the most shameless display of balls since New Year’s Eve has gone virtually unnoticed. The presumptive Republican nominee has taken a lot of criticism for failing to denounce the anti-gay voices that ostensibly drove openly gay advisor Richard Grenell to quit quit the campaign, Romney senior advisor Eric Fehrnstrom, appearing on Chuck Todd‘s The Daily Rundown, made a hilarious attempt to turn those lemons into lemonade by casting Romney as a warrior...

New E-Mail Password, Thunderbird HangsI looked at this thread before deciding to post. I thought that OP's method was a bit too draconian I am having the exact same problem - new e-mail password, Thunderbird recognizes that, but does not recover so I can enter my new password. I have done the following: 1. Tried Safe Mode. No joy. 2. Forced Thunderbird to close. 3. Rebooted (yeah, I'm running Windows 7). 4. Found and inspected my profile. I found two sets of directories -- myoriginal and myoriginal-1 . The directory structure concluded with -1 contained newer entries. I combined the two sets of directories and deleted what I did...

Copy/paste relative links and pictures : bug?Hello, From v 2.9, when copying / pasting either a link or a picture that is relative to the current page (with the "relative to page URL" box ticked in their properties), the resulting link or picture URL becomes absolute to "file://" It worked well in v2.8 (links and image addresses remained relative) I was using SM 2.9.1, French version, on Windows XP, and had to downgrade to v2.8 to avoid unwanted corruption when editing my pages. Did anybody else notice this issue ? Regards, Olivier

2.9.1. Path to profile?I have upgraded Seamonkey many times, and have had to copy the contents of my current profile into a new one created by Profile Manager. I've recently had some computer trouble, copied everything to an external drive, did a wipe of the drive, and (finally!) installed Windows 7 rather than the hateful Vista. Only now I can't find a way into the file structure. When I am logged into my desktop, I have used the path to the computer view, chosen the C: drive and attempted to look at the file through the Users folder (which always worked before), through the Program files, I've peeked into the...

92-Year-Old DVD Bootlegger is a Hero to U.S. SoldiersQuote: Hyman Strachman says he has sent 300,000 pirated DVDs to U.S. troops overseas. Go ahead and complain about that, Hollywood. When you think of the guys who sell pirated videos, you might conjure up an image of men with long coats and briefcases filled with illegal goods, peddling their wares on dark streets or from the trunks of their cars. But you haven’t met 92-year-old Hyman “Big Hy” Strachman.“You’re shocked because your initial image is of some back-alley Eastern European bootlegger — not an old Jewish guy on Long Island,” Captain Bryan Curran, who recently returned from...

Lots of questions for different topics. Stations, ST's, Stock xchange, board, andmoreOk, to begin with, this is my first post so forgive me if a lot of stuff has been answered before, also I am a newish player so forgive me if i ask simple things or do not fully understand. I've looked but can only find more advanced discussions of the topics which leave out a lot of the more simple things that I am missing. Also, this is for Albion Prelude. Also I am doing the bankrupt assassin play-through, so no paranid or boron help, and most of this is taking place near the aladna hill area. So first up is a problem i seem to have with Sector Traders. I realize this has been posted many...

Lost Parakeet Tells Police its AddressQuote: A pet parakeet was returned to its owner Wednesday after the lost bird told police its home address near Tokyo. The male bird had escaped early Sunday morning from its owner’s home in the city of Sagamihara, west of Tokyo, and remained at large before perching on the shoulder of a guest staying in a nearby hotel. Handed over to local police, the bird did not speak until Tuesday evening, when it blurted out the names of the city and district where its owner’s house is located, said a spokesman for the north Sagamihara police station. It then produced the home’s block and street number as...

Government Issues Study of a Study About StudiesThis Is Not a Joke: Government Issues Study of a Study About Studies Quote: The Pentagon was inundated with so many studies in 2010 that it commissioned a study to determined how much it cost to produce all those studies. Now the Government Accountability Office has reviewed the Pentagon’s study and concluded in a report this week that it’s a flop. The study of a study of studies began in 2010 when Defense Secretary Robert Gates complained that his department was “awash in taskings for reports and studies.” He wanted to know how much they cost. Two years later, the Pentagon review is still...

Time: As Small a President as He Can BeQuote: Woodrow Wilson once said the President "is at liberty, both in law and conscience, to be as big a man as he can." In his re-election bid, President Obama is determined to be as small as he can be. He's gone from vaporous uplift in 2008 to dreary minutiae in 2012. Listening to him on the stump, you would have no idea that the economy is sunk in a subpar recovery and the nation's balance sheet is deep in the red, let alone that the welfare state is in crisis throughout the Western world. The President's approach amounts to fiddling while Athens burns, or at least defaults. There is no...

X3AP terran rep.Hi, I started to play the argon plot and when to the first sectors. I fought a few terran fighters did some damage but didnt kill any, my rep still fell but they're still blue. The problem now is I cant land on their stations and dont see any mission signs on their sectors and I want to improve my rep with them before I continue the plot. Is there an effective way for that? do I kill argon or Xeon in their space to get it to rise enough so that I get missions?
