Thunderbird Freezes upon openingHello, My TB has gone into a continues freeze mode. I use Mac OSX 10.7.3 and the latest release of Thunderbird 10 Here is what happens. I open Thunderbird, and the window opens, I shows two tabs, one with my inbox and one with the what's new in Thunderbird since the recent update. Sometimes this page loads and sometimes it freezes right here with a spinning ball of death. [SOLVED] Problem emerging xorg-serverSOLVED: As I said... I'd been away from Gentoo for awhile and simply forgot a lot of stuff. I suddenly remembered that I can add the USE="" stuff before the emerge options to get it to move on. So, finally posting something from within Gentoo and it's good to be back! "Upgraded" FF 3 to FF 10: Lost Bookmarks, history, xmarks,I just upgraded from Firefox 3 to Firefox 10. All my bookmarks have vanished. My bookmarks toolbar has vanished My history has vanished. My Xmarks synchronization button has vanished The toolbar with the icons on it has vanished. There's a completely empty gray toolbar that runs the complete width of the FF windos. Firefox logs me out of forumI'm using FF 10 with Windows XP. Since the latest upgrade 2 days ago, a forum I visit often during the day keeps logging me out whenever I leave it to use another program. The tab stays open, but when I come back and click to refresh, I'm logged out and have to log in again. This forum has been working perfectly for years. I looked at support documentation which said to make sure cookies are enabled on that site. They are, and that site's cookies are there. So I'm at a loss. This problem doesn't happen in IE, but I don't want to use IE.

Backup - Why So Difficult?There use to be a simple 'Export emails' option that has now gone in latest round of updates. Having searched here, the only articles are old ones that don't apply to either Windows7 or later verstions of Thunderbird. Is there not a straight forward way of backing up email accounts any more? (SOLVED)-No Sound In KDEAfter booting my system this morning I have no sound in KDE at all, If I use VLC and tell it to go out through SPDIF, which the speakers are connected to, and I tell it to use ALSA I hear sound. If I tell MPlayer to go out through SPDIF I hear nothing, I have double checked that all the channels are unmuted using alsamixer and kmix, i have recompiled my kernel just in case, and I have recompiled phonon and alsa-utils. So I am at a bbit of a loss to be honest. Not quite sure what to post here so any information you need feel free to ask for and i will post it asap SOLVED - dont know if it was...
