NSTMP - can't delete

My TB has created an NSTMP folder, presumably due to an aborted compacting operation (TB keeps telling you to compact and then screws up when you do?). I want to get rid of it. I've trawled through the message boards all morning and still can't work it out. Possibly this is because I am not especially computer-savvy. Kresource runs every time at boot [unsolved]

Since I updated to KDE 4.7 Kresource runs every time. It claims to be updating Kmail address book. But I do not use kmail so there is nothing there.
